Two studies and a shared kitchen-living room
To gather the kitchen, dining and living areas into one space with an island and a seating area, and to fit the hall into it without extra walls.
Besides the bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, the flat needed two separate studies and two bathrooms, one shared and one en-suite.
Graphite, walnut and dark marble
The kitchen is graphite, with a band of walnut and lighting above a dark marble splashback; a wave-shaped pendant hangs over the black island with bar stools. The TV wall is divided into walnut panels and black slats, with floor-standing speakers on either side. The grey corner sofa stands against a wall of relief panels. The hall has a slatted walnut wall with lit shelves, a bench and a graphite cabinet, and the doors sit flush with the walls.
The first study is light: white walls, shelving on black metal frames, a desk with three monitors, a sofa and a large relief artwork. The second is built around a three-monitor workstation with coloured lighting, with walnut wardrobes and lit shelves for a collection of figures along the walls.
The bedroom sets white walls against a graphite slatted wall behind the bed, with walnut bedside tables on black frames, a ring pendant, a bouclé chair and a dressing table with a free-form mirror. The walk-in wardrobe has walnut shelving, lighting and a full-length mirror. Both bathrooms are lined with dark stone veined in white and with wood, with black sanitaryware and backlit mirrors, and the en-suite has a door of reeded glass.
