A 54 m² flat in Saint Petersburg where green runs through every room. Calm green walls, mouldings and panelled doors sit alongside herringbone parquet, warm wood and tropical motifs, and a glass partition screens a sleeping area in the living room.

Task

A living room with a sleeping area

Combine a lounge, a dining table and a place to sleep in the living room, screening the bed with a light partition. Give the separate kitchen a dining nook.

The hall needed roomy wardrobes and a bench, the bedroom a dressing table and a place to relax on the balcony.

Solution

Green walls, wood and mouldings

In the living room, green walls with mouldings and concealed lighting meet herringbone parquet, and a chandelier of glass globes hangs above a dining table with timber-framed chairs. There is also a timber TV panel, a grey corner sofa and a glass display cabinet. A glass partition with fluted panels screens the sleeping area, with a bed with a tall upholstered headboard and a wardrobe with a TV in a timber niche.

The kitchen has green base units, a timber splashback and fluted wall units; the dining nook is marked out by tropical leaf wallpaper framed with timber slats. The hall has white wardrobes with timber handles, a niche with a green bench, a half-moon backlit mirror and crossing lines of light on the ceiling.

The bathroom is finished in terrazzo-effect tile, with green vertical tiles in the shower, an oval backlit mirror above the basin and black fittings. The bedroom has a green slatted wall with a TV, a leaf painting, a bed with a brown headboard and a dressing table; on the balcony, an armchair, a brass wall light and green cabinets with arched fronts.
