Neoclassical flat with black marble

An 87 m² flat in Perm in the neoclassical spirit. White walls with mouldings, black marble, a glossy grey stone-effect floor and gold-toned details make a crisp, contrasting interior, while glass-drop chandeliers and soft furniture bring light and warmth.

Task

Classic contrast in 87 m²

To bring the kitchen, dining and living areas together into one formal space with a fireplace and access to the loggia, while keeping a distinct character for each zone.

The bedroom had to hold a desk and a dressing table and have its own bathroom; the hall needed storage and a place to get ready before going out.

Solution

Mouldings, black marble and gold lines

The living room is built around a black marble wall with the television and a bio-fireplace, flanked by lit niches. White panels with a wave relief rise above the pale modular sofa, alongside bronze coffee tables and a chandelier of glass drops. The kitchen is done in black: glossy fronts, fluted panels and a dark marble splashback. The dining table has a marble top and chairs in grey-beige velvet, with a print of a classical bust on the wall.

The hall and corridor are finished with white mouldings and dark panels inlaid with gold lines; by the door stand a black console with a mirror and a pouf, and an arched glass door in a black frame leads into the living room. The loggia, glazed floor to ceiling, holds armchairs with timber arms and olive trees in pots.

The bedroom has an upholstered headboard of graphite panels, a black marble wall with the television and a starry-sky ceiling; behind the partition are a desk between shelving units and wardrobes with tinted glass. The bathrooms are lined with white marble veined in black: the shared one hides the washer and dryer in a tall cabinet, the en-suite has a corner bath, a glass shower and a vanity with a gold diamond motif.
