A room for lessons and play
To furnish a kindergarten playroom with activity tables for the whole group, places to rest, storage for toys and books, a TV and a board.
The room had to be bright and cheerful without being busy, so that children would enjoy playing in it and find it easy to learn.
Sky, clouds and arches
The focus is a blue wall with white clouds. Two timber arches stand against it with built-in sofas, cushions and drawers, flanked by lit shelves for toys.
Green slats clad the lower walls, yellow roller blinds hang at the windows and the floor is a pastel surface printed with animals. White tables are ringed by chairs with cat faces, and shaped shelving with books, stacking rings and teddy bears stands by the blue wall.
A house-shaped chalkboard and framed animal pictures hang on the white wall, and a TV sits between the windows.
