Task
Manicure and pedicure in one room
To fit manicure tables and pedicure chairs into one room, separating the two zones while keeping the room whole.
Solution
Arches, a wave of light and a podium
A walkway lit from the floor runs the length of the room: manicure tables with rounded chairs on one side, pedicure chairs on a podium behind dark glass partitions on the other. Each zone is backed by a black arch edged with light, one of them with glowing 'You are beautiful' lettering, and the wave of light carries on across the textured plaster wall.
